LaneWatch?

While I am waiting for delivery of our Passport I downloaded the manual and while reading I came across LaneWatch pg485. I don't recall seeing a passenger side camera during the test drive and could not find on youtube. Can anyone confirm the existence of LaneWatch on the Passport? Thanks!

Lanewatch is no longer there, camera is no longer there. It was in earlier Hondas. There is lane change warning of cars but it is now sensor and not via camera.

Don't know about Canadian-specific models or export models, but LaneWatch was never available on any US models of 2019/2020 Passports, or 2019/2020 Pilots (the platform that Passport is based on). With this platform, it was last available on 2018 Pilot Elite trim, before Honda updated with 'new' infotainment Display Audio . . . and Honda-savings of $150 or so per vehicle by switching to cheaper Blind Spot Information System.
Thanks for the clarification! Stupid manuals :geek:
My son has lane watch on his 2018 Honda Civic SI and I love it, don't know why Honda dropped this (maybe expense?).
I think I saw that camera on the SPORT and EX-L models here in Canada. Really didn’t like the bulk of it. Looks like a big ole black head pimple on the passenger mirror. IMO.
My wife's 2017 Accord has it. I still don't understand why it's only on the passenger's side and not both sides.

Honda claims that having a mirror camera on drivers side is counter-intuitive. ie. turning left and having to look to the right to see the display.
I miss the Lane Watch from my '15 CRV. It had markings to let you know spacing when changing lanes to the right, keep you from cutting off another driver. That was really helpful when towing. You could turn it on without using the turn signal. It was useful in the city to watch for bicyclists who like to ride up on the right side.
Loved the camera on the right in my Si. I would use it to merge right in rush hour traffic. This way I didn’t give it away by turning my head or have to show the ultimate sign of weakness, my turn signal. Aside from that, I’m a firm believer in it’s always best to turn your head and look as opposed to relying on technology.

The biggest reason Honda has been ditching the lane watch is a simple but stupid one. The company that provides the safety stars you see can’t place a rating on the camera system. They want those stars so because of that well that’s the main reason they ditched it. I asked some one close to Honda a few years ago and that’s what he told me. I also like it a lot. Don’t know why they couldn’t combine both.
They have LKAS (Lane Keeping Assist System). Only active if you turn it on. This is different than the lane departure warning that shakes the steering wheel if you go over the road lane markings.
It will basically use the front camera or sensor to keep you in the center of the lane. This will work only if roads are well marked and if the rain, snow, etc, is not covering the road marks. If you remove your hands from the wheel while LKAS is on, you will get a message to hold the wheel.
