Key fob not opening cargo door

2212 Views 4 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  ProdGirl
Yesterday, I did my every 2 week errands, used the key fob to keep adding stuff to the cargo area throughout the day. Had no problems opening or closing the hatch with the key fob.

I got home and went to unload and pushed the key fob button and it
wouldn’t open (or close). The door did open with the button on the driver and cargo door though. I poked around at some of the settings even though I didn’t change anything and looked here and Google and also restarted my Passport. No luck.

Ideas or suggestions would be appreciated!

Did it not work with either fob ?
I didn’t think to check that - thanks! I was starving and had groceries to put away.

Tomorrow is the seat covers install as early as possible to avoid sweating all over. 😓
I’ll check the other fob then. I did change both batteries a few weeks ago and it still worked to unlock and lock the doors. So I’m miffed...

There are two buttons on the cargo door. With your hands full you may inadvertently press the lock on the right side of the button that opens the door.

I have done this myself and thought the cargo door didnt unlock when I was pressing the lock/unlock button instead of the button to open it.

I think this is what I did...twice now!
One day I’ll learn! Thanis.
