so in my stable I have my new 2020 Honda Passport that is a japanese car built in the USA by american workers using a lot of american parts and one of my other cars is a 2019 Dodge Challenger Redeye (beast 797hp) built in Canada with an engine made in Mexico on a very old mercedes chassis. Think the challenger is more "foreign" than my honda 😆

Yep, I have mentioned something like that to friends who preach "Buy American".

US-based Chevrolet builds the Blazer in Mexico
and
Japan-based Honda builds the Passport in the US

So which vehicle actually supports America more?

Yes, I've noticed a decline in Honda quality and focus on detail, since the 1st letter of my VIN hasn't been a "J".

My first two Honda's (1978 & 1985 models) were made in Japan, and they were great. I am not ready to put all the blame on American Assembly workers however, as vehicles are much more complex, and quality issues could be related to the more complex designs that are not fully tested, the assembly methods developed by Honda Engineers and training provided to the Assemblers by Honda management.
