Normal moderate acceleration from a stop sign to about 40 and transmission goes into N and lose all power. Was able to coast to an area off the street. All kinds of error messages seemingly unrelated, but there was a check engine light and a P0810 code (malfunction in the clutch position control). Can't even race the engine.
After about 5 mins. and 3 off/on cycles was able to finally select D and drive off.
Have less than 4k miles on this. Tranny was ok until about 600 mi. ago and started feeling stuck in the 4-5 shift frequently.
The bad thing is it's late Fri. afternoon and the local dealer can't take it until Tues a.m.
We were just finalizing plans for a 4000 + mi. / 2 week trip, leaving on Thurs a.m.
If I'm told Tues that they couldn't find anything and just reset the code, I will never be able to trust this on a trip, let alone across town.

Sorry for your troubles mate, hopefully they get you fixed up ASAP! Let us know what they diagnose the issue as. Good luck!
When our Passport transmission failed and went to N at 75mph, I started, restarted engine several times, it wasn’t until I unbuckled seatbelt, got out of the drivers seat and the tow truck driver rebuckled the drivers seat belt, that we were able to shift the vehicle transmission into D. I took the unit out for 1/2 mile test drive and experienced very erratic shifting. At that point, we loaded it up and took it to dealer.
OK, back in possession of PP.
Yesterday they talked with engineers and had verified the same code I saw. They told them to go ahead and reset the code and try to drive and reproduce. No failure, so they kept overnight and service manager drove it. This a.m. still no failure.
They offered to keep it another day, but I can put more miles on it than they can.
W.O. says - '. . . if issue returns - needs TCM, part # 06280-5EZ-A43'
And I thought the dealerships weren't allowed to replace any parts on the transmissions!
W.O. also says 'inspect connections, OK' I don't see any dust disturbed on TCM connections!
Just go back from a 4400 + mi. trip last week.
Didn't have any drops into N. But that 4-5 shift seems to get longer and longer.
Not only that, but also the 2-3 and 3-4 shifts are longer than they used to be.

Today I got the code to monitor 'current gear' with my ScanGauge. Wished I would have had it before the trip.
Still waiting for the code to monitor transmission temperature.

Thanks for the update! We’re heading from Oklahoma to Tennessee in a week, hopefully we are trouble free on our venture.
