Hey everyone

I just got a new passport yesterday!! It's amazing and I love it so far. I live in Phoenix AZ so I've only been city driving. I see a lot of people here and in other research I've done that I should upgrade the tires from the stock 20"

What should I get? Also, a big detail is that I am leasing this with a definite possibility to buy it before or at the end of the lease.

The forest service roads up in the north are dirt and a bit rocky. Some places are climbing and more untouched. I don't really plan to do that but going on the unpaved and service roads is what I'm looking to do the most. Of course, hill climbing and the possibility of mud and snow.

For tires and wheels you will find these two threads quite useful:

OK so 18 inch wheels that can handle better than the 20" stocks. Now, will that effect the ground clearance?
Also, bull bar or grille guard?
And how would you protect undercarriage parts? Someone said they are exposed and susceptible to damage

For most people the 18 inch does not affect ground clearance when paired with 265/60R18 tires.
Here's a comparison website that will help you visualize tire differences inclusive of speedometer effects.

If you search the forum you will find people that have installed grille guards and skid plates, bull bars are not very popular.

I can't remember where I got the numbers below, but I think it might have been here on PPF.

Passport:
Tire 245/50R20 (Wheel 20x8J ; Offset 55) = Circumference 93.1" = Diameter 29.6"
Tire 265/45R20 (Wheel 20x8.5J ; Offset 55) = Circumference 92.3" = Diameter 29.4"

Pilot / Ridgeline:
Tire 245/50R20 (Wheel 20x8J ; Offset 55) = Circumference 93.1" = Diameter 29.6"
Tire 245/55R19 (Wheel 19x8J ; Offset 55) = Circumference 93" = Diameter 29.6"
Tire 245/60R18 (Wheel 18x8J ; Offset 55) = Circumference 92.9" = Diameter 29.6"
