As for the wireless adapter I have tried a couple now and one worked but was very spotty, to keep it consistent I would have to unplug it every day. I got tired of it and returned that one. The second one I just tried didn't work at all, just a black screen. However for Android auto the Motorola ma1 adapter is fantastic, I have had great luck there, so we ended up mounting that instead.

A couple quick updates for projects.

Scuffed the windshield when we had a big ice storm, left terrible marks, however thankfully it buffed right out.

Finally got a good price for the HPD wheels, I can't wait to go back to my summer tires.

I also installed the idlestopper, that was a 17 minute install total start to finish, works perfectly as expected.

I just did the idlestopper and the pic of the hand in there gives me ptsd! My hand looks like I got in a fight with a dog and a cat. Scratches and cuts. I ended up unable to do it by hand and used a wire and a screwdriver!
Where did you get the HPD's? Really nice!

DId a couple basic house cleaning things today, moved the radar detector to a mirror mount, and started tucking all the wires, so now it is pretty clean, or as well as I am willing to work for it.
Not really passport related, buit I was very excited I got coolwalk for android auto finally!

This is the first time I'm seeing the Coolwalk update on the Passport's infotainment screen. Wow! Gives that 8 inch screen an entirely new persona.

My wife got the update a few weeks ago, it's definitely much better. Meanwhile, I'm still stuck with the old AA.

I saw an article on that interwebz thing that said Google was doing a slow rollout over a four week period. Could be a combo of both phone model being a factor in the slow roll?

I think they might be pushing it out to heavy users first, she uses it every day but I rarely use it.

It is the mirror showing the front and back views of the car, and it also has the date and time, no weather.

A new update, I gave up waiting for true summer to get my summer setup going. Quite happy with the new wheels

A couple of mods today. First I tried a wireless android auto / apple carplay adaptor. I mounted it right next to the port, seemed to work pretty well there. Also installed a new DS1 radar detector, seemed like a good idea now adays, I also included a photo of the passport taking 8ft boards no issue, that was awesome,

Also I included a photo of the most expensive mod in on the car so far, filling the tank

I‘m going to order a OEM cargo cover, but I’m curious if you fold the back rests down and slide the back seats all the way fwd will it fit behind the seat backs and the cargo area in that dead space ?

I have the OEM cargo cover and I haven't tried what you are suggesting, but I'm going to try it and can report back!

it does fit but it doesn't sit flat on the floor if you close the doors.

Another quick update, I wanted to upgrade the mirror to something that is even more OEM looking. So I swapped to a different camera / dvr mirror. I have already ordered a extension arm since its a little too high. But this seems to have installed pretty well, and looks so much cleaner then the strap on mirror style.
