Unfortunately bad things happen in three’s. Although minor, I had a small dent in my lift gate, tire tear and my rear light assembly cracked! Not sure how I got the first two and I never fell in love with my Passport. I think the body and paint were not made of the best materials. I would walk by other Passports and would see chips or minor dents as well. Maybe I am looking for them to make me feel better about my dent.

Luckily, there aren’t many Touring models for sale and the ones that are go for top dollar. I’ve seen some go for $38,000! Which is crazy. CarMax is offering $33,400 which I am fine with. I bought my car including taxes for $39,300. I only have 11,200 miles on it and kept it very clean and polished. I will take their offer and wait until the pandemic ends to buy a car. I am looking at the Genesis GV70 possibly.

I wish everyone the best with their Passports as I have enjoyed reading the comments online. Stay safe!

I have to ask where your dent is in the liftgate. I have one too that I never noticed until after I was run into by my neighbor (another story). Mine is s mall dent near the (see photo below, green circle) and I was just wondering if it came like that. Real photo for tomorrow maybe.

It ruined my day because it happened like 90 days after I purchased it!

If you've never sold a car, on Auto Trader...Now is a Great time to start.

Carmax isn't the only company trying to build up their used car inventory. You should call around to other dealers.

Today, Sept 1st, the Black Book trade in value, for the AWD Touring 2019, with 11,200 miles is $38,135 in clean condition. In average condition it's $36,290.

The numbers for the FWD version are clean = $ 36,345 and average = $34,610.

My personal experience...July 4th weekend this year...Carmax quoted me $600 under my Black Book "clean" value.
Honda quoted me the exact Black Book "clean" value.
I sold the car on Auto Trader, to the 1st person that test drove it, for $2,100 above the "clean trade-in" Black Book value. It took me all of 3 days, to get it sold.

Auto Trader offers a price range "window", when you list a car for sale, with them.
As it turned out, the "center" of Auto Trader's recommended price "window" was $2,100 above the Black Book "clean" value.
Before the 1st person drove my car, there were 5 or 6 hagglers that called, never saw the car, but tried to buy it for thousands under my asking price. I could sense that they did this often and for a living. I told each caller that the price was in the center of Auto Trader's price range window and to come test drive it.

Also, using Auto Trader, you get to see their recommended price window, before you pay them $49. You can back out, before you pay and have your own numbers, for free.

Well you have a perfect car just like you are. How lucky to have you in the world!
Gets big dent in rear door and is “not sure how it happened”. Apparently just appeared out of nowhere. Blames Honda and car build quality. Then generalizes that all must be made like this. This is the kind of person you want to buy a car from. Seems honest.

It cracks me up how personally you take public opinions. Don’t take things so personal, it’s not always about you. I’m sure you have heard that before.

Hello Passport808, you have 11 posts here, the majority of them are in this thread, telling all of us you are dumping your Passport, while most all of the other ones are YOU complaining about your Passport.

MOST of the people here, are here to share their experiences with their Passports, (yours was negative - we get it!) talk about the various features, accessories, tires, wheels, etc.

You have chosen to tell us you are selling it to get a Genesis and myself and I'm sure the others here wish you well, everyone should be free to buy & drive what they want and while the Passport did not meet your needs, - IT IS WELL LIKED by many others (including myself - whole drove BMWs the last 16 years and my wife has a Lexus).

But please understand, it's looking more and more like you are here to disrupt and argue and I am not going to allow that. So good luck with your new car, hopefully it does not get any dents, and perhaps you can go ahead and migrate over to the Genesis forum and tell them how crappy the Passport was...

Cheers!
