I'm trying to keep everything as an internet transaction, but a Honda salesman keeps calling me with reasons to come to the Dealership. Last week it was to review their "in person only VIP" offer. This week it is to look at the "Black Edition" Passport.
I've heard that the Pilot and/or the Ridgeline offered a "Black Edition", but nobody has ever mentioned a Passport version and I'm on this forum a lot.

Thank you, for your time.

Sometimes, a dealer will contract with a local car customizing shop and create a " _ Edition" vehicle, in which the manufacturer has no input (or authorization). Usually some wheels and some tape accents.

Sometimes...

I'm sure you have your reasons for "trying to keep everything as an internet transaction", but, have you driven one? Touched and demo'd the available features? Not aware of any "Black Edition Passport" I know as do you, the Pilot sports that trim, maybe your sales person is confused and really cannot distinguish between the 2 models? Maybe it's a dealer add on package that they are labeling "Black Edition"? Ask for pictures.

It's unlikely there will be a Passport black edition from Honda because there is virtually no chrome on it anyway. A black Passport Elite is basically a black edition minus the red interior. If you want to black it out even more you could add the black badges.

They want you to come by so they can try and buy your car.

I had my oil changed in August at the dealership I bought my 2020 Passport Elite at. I waited for the car to be worked on and had salesman and sales manager both ask to speak to me about them buying the car for $4k more than I paid. It has under 4k miles on it and scarlet red color.

I asked when they would have 2022, they said October/November and I would get first one.

I said will you give it to me at same price, pay the excise tax and isurance increases and offer me the 0.9% financing this car has.

Of course they could not offer any of those items. I knew they wouldn't.

That's the Pilot Black Edition. If you really want to create your own Passport Black Edition you could buy an Elite Passport, install the seats with the ugly red/brown leather inserts and black emblems and call it a day.
Exactly. There is no BE Passport unless someone is adding badges OR spent a fortune to put a Pilot interior in the PP.
