Intermittent TPMS Sensor Issue

New 18" rims and snows c/w Max TPMS sensors were installed about a month and a half ago. Everything is great - love the look and the ride of the 18s (will be looking at replacing the summer 20s). However, I've had a sensor warning pop up when we first start it about 4 or 5 times now over this time. Looking at the sensors on the screen and every one shows a dashed line where the pressures normally show like its not getting the signals. Within 5 seconds of driving the error goes away and all pressures are showing (and correct, and increase slightly as tire warms up). I can go for days/weeks with no issues, then all of a sudden it happens. And again within 5 seconds of driving its gone. Only thing common is it only seems to happen when its parked in the garage (every night). Our other car is a 2017 Accord, that doesn't have sensors, so its not a case of dualling sensors. Sent a note to Max, but thought I'd post here to see if anyone has had a similar problem.

Cheers TM

I too have !8" tires & wheels with aftermarket sensors and have NOT experienced any problems??? Not sure of the brand that I have but I got them from Chris Tire in PA where I purchased the 18" wheels & tires...
I’m using Continental VDO TPMS sensors in my 18” wheels. I’d have to look up the exact model number, but I got them from Discount Tire when I put together the tire/wheel package. 4000+ miles later and no issues.
I constantly have issues too with mine .. Max Sensors ... it's in an error state at least 50% of the time, seems to be especially when it's colder, TPMS is basically useless for me on this vehicle
Same here, I got these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08DTYJ8DH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 , and after 20 -30 mins of driving the TPMS error, but after I stop and buy some coffee the error goes away. I really don't care because I have some many orange lights on the dash anyways, I turn off all the other stuff, traction control, start/stop, forward Collison stuff . :)

Edit: 5/7/21 My pp finally learned the new TPMS, I think it took longer because I didn't drive the vehicle much when I installed them.
