I have 2019 Passport Elite.
Inside has nice looking black plastic trim across the dash - wide in places, 3-4" wide.
Problem is that when sun is on passenger side the glare off of that can sometimes be blinding and is often irritating.
Has anyone else noticed? Found a solution?
I had thought about getting some kind of matte decal/vinyl covering like they wrap a car with.
A matte black spray paint might work too but doing so inside is risking a big mess.

I'm hoping someone has a good idea here.

Are you referring to the piano black glossy trim inside or the infotainment center screen?

I had all of my glossy black trim wrapped in the same PPF they use on the outside, they have many options to choose from, and you can get a screen protector for the infotainment screen to cut down the sun glare and overall shiny look.

Mine was done at Corsa Motor Sports in Westminster, Ca. Not sure where you are located.

Not so much the screen but the plastic. That looks good, was it expensive? I am not near you but I'm told there is one place within 60-90 minutes of here so I may get that done. Where did you find such a large screen protector? That might help too.

in SoCal., The plastic trim cost me $410.00 to cover and a solid 7 hours.
It was all hand cut and then applied.

Look at XPEL.com and find a dealer near you. They use 3M and Avery materials.
here is their website for ideas. They had three swatch books about 2” thick to choose from.

And the screen protector I got from Photodon. Do not apply it if you are going to put the PPF on your interior, as it will be messed up. And no matter how good you think you’ll be at applying the screen protector, the First one is for practice. So order two!

I got the same basic places as Prod Girl did, but with Carbon Fiber (wrap), it was about $400 (not cheap) but it looks fantastic!

I looked at that thread stevenD and it's mentioned that these films are somehow applied "in place" such that one's dash doesn't have to get taken apart. But also it says the professionals don't use razor blades or exacto knives to trim!?

1. How are the films trimmed to look so perfect? Can anyone learn how to do this?

2. If the film is damaged or one becomes tired of it or wants to change it, are they easily peeled-away with no damage to the original finish?

TIA

Yes, there was no removal, the guy tried to explain how the cut/trim the edges without removing the panels or using a blade, he has some trick, but I did not fully listen/understand (sorry).

Maybe you could contact them and inquire, I used the same place as the Prod Girl link (Corsa)...

On car wraps they put a special tape along the edges, put the wrap over it then pull the wire or thread embedded in the special tape and it cuts the wrap perfectly to fit. Watch YouTube videos on them doing full car wraps. They do some tune up with Xacto blade also but are careful and it isn't much.

They print and cut the exterior pieces on a plotter, so there is no cutting on the vehicle.
There is no pattern to print from for the interior, they told me they will cut a piece in the approximate size then take it to the inside and draw a closer cut, then its cut outside the vehicle. The only ‘damage’ (which isn’t even damage), was the screen protector got messed up in the corner where the carbon fiber had to be tucked in,
