It definitely looks nice from underneath!!! Do you have a picture of the front end of the car on the ground? How much of that blue color do you see?View attachment 9640 View attachment 9641 View attachment 9642

Not su View attachment 9643 re how many versions of this skid plate they have out, but appears to be a newer version, I like the semi cut out square section that gives the customer the option to cut it out and utilize that jack point with a floor jack and lift both front tires from that center jack point. I have quickjacks, so decided not to cut it out. Anyways, If I have any issues over the next few months I'll for sure let you guys know. View attachment 9644
It’s on the underside of the vehicle. Embrace the battle scars. As cool as it looks in blue, I think if I got one, I would primer it, paint it black and then spray some sort textured undercoating over the area facing the road - something that could easily be resprayed when it gets some "battle-wounds" on it...
Or even anodize it...
but blue is ok, right? It’s on the underside of the vehicle. Embrace the battle scars.
You didn't see me make a comment on the blue, my thumbs up is for the skid plate itself. The Jsport skid plate and a fumoto oil drain valve were the first accessory purchases I made for my new passport.but blue is ok, right?

More importantly, have you taken your car offroading since the install? Sad to say, I've done zero offroading in the vehicle. I'm really pumped about getting out on some trails. You should check out this guy's channel on Youtube he's also in the PNW. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCp_Yg42THe3MQERH_3HSzOQ
As far as oil changes, how much extra work will it be to change oil with the front skid plate? I agree with @HarveyW a fumoto is a must have with a skid plate. I have a fumoto on my Ram truck and it's great, however no need for one on my PP because I'll use my mityvac to suck out the oil.

Wow this looks amazing!!That would look great!
The itching primer kinda looked like O.D. green which is a color I really like and almost stopped there.
I'm anticipating this skid plate will get trashed, so I'm looking forward to the battle wounds and leaving it as is.
Here's his reply to the same question I asked : "As far as oil changes, how much extra work will it be to change oil with the front skid plate? And the question about oil changes...does it have to be removed for oil and filter changes?
I have a JSport skid plate and this is my fix for the rear bolts.I've got some trouble shooting to do and would like some feedback. I think the polyurethane spacers maybe allowing the crossbrace to shift just a little. I removed the front skid plate and will drive it for the next month and see if it reduces the pop sound. I know that some people are having that front pop sound that's covered under warranty, but I just want to make sure it's not the skid plate.
I'm also thinking about replacing the 2 rear m10x1.25 (if I remember bolt threads correctly... 🤔) with 2 studs. That way a can torq down the nut correctly for the crossbrace and then a nut to hold the skid plate.
