New member here from central Florida (north Orlando area). Just signed the papers for our purchase of a 2019 Honda Passport Elite: Modern Steel Metallic with Black Leather interior (literally 2 hours ago as I type this).

Our journey started with checking out the Ridgeline as we currently have a Toyota Tacoma. While the Tacoma has it pluses, the highway ride isn't great (for us). The transmission seems to always be shifting (gear hunting) to maintain speed while using cruise control. End result is 17-18mpg on the highway at 70mph cruise control. *thumbs down*

So while checking out the Ridgeline (RTL-T trim) we also test drove a Passport Elite. What blew us away was how much room the rear seat has in the Passport. And after some thought, the idea of a pick-up truck is good and the bed is a "nice to have" we don't really need the bed as much as we thought - especially after our Tacoma ownership.

Picking up the new rig tomorrow (Sunday, 03-Mar-2019) but will need to go back later in the week so the dealership can install the towing hitch parts. They need to order and receive them before installation. The tow "package" was part of our purchase price.

Up next for the rig will probably be Xpel paint protection film and then looking for some 18" wheels with all-terrain tires and a roof basket. Going to go for the "outlander" look (well, as much as we can).

Back from the dealership after delivery. As this Passport was taken from a sister dealership the first dealer added pinstripes. Those are being removed later this week when the hitch is being installed. However, to my surprise this vehicle had splash guards, wheel locks, and the cargo tray. I had planned on buying the splash guards and cargo tray so that's a score for me. I was not charged for those items. :giggle:
