I am new to Honda ownership in the last month and a half. I have a 2022 Honda Passport Trailsport. I have noticed several times now I get this message regarding the idle stop. "Idle Stop Temporarily Interrupted: System Warming Up or Charging" there is an image of the idle start logo with a line thru it along with a battery symbol next to it. Has anyone seen this or know what it means? I have looked abut haven't seen anyone mention this directly. Is it safe to drive my car? The dealership cannot get me in for another 3 weeks.

Read the manual, you get that message sometimes when the A/C or heat in on.

The car will determine when auto start stop should be available. In extreme conditions such as very hot or very cold outside temp, the system will disable to keep the engine running for passenger comfort.
And yes, read the manual.

It's not a "problem" for the reasons discussed here. If you're in the snow belt, as temperatures are falling, the more often that message is liable to pop up.

Thank you for taking the time. But temperatures were in the 70s, and all conditions met for it to work as per manual. I even took the car for a 30 min drive yet still the same msg(chargeing system). 🙄
I checked the battery and charging system voltage of the car and both were good.
Ill try to connect my obd and check what is giving a signal for the idle stop system not to engage.

Same problem with our ‘22 Passport. Did you ever figure out what the problem was?

I believe its a glitch or something of that sort. In the odessey forums one guy offered a solution and it actually worked for my 22 PP. However, it occured one time again and i wish i know what triggers it.
