You all seem so nice ,I hope I dont sound crazy but here is my problem
In late august someone stole my car. at a 7-11 no less.
anyway I am older f and I bought a new loaded CRV ..it was a bad transaction as I dint really test drive or do my homework .
I am quite large (fat)and about 5'9 but very longlegs with arthritis and a bad right knee and neuropathy in feet (a mess)

it seems they made the CRV w a half a seat .It comes to my upper thigh and well this vehicle is too small.I actually want to cry at times in pain from driving .right knee doesn't bend so great. so I end up 15 mins in vehicle b4 pain.no real support 4 legs.
The dealership offered a passport .at a lot more money up here 55 thou for the touring w mats -3 m

its not about the money I got to drive PP for a few days and it is much better but that seat?still its wider more comfy easier on legs.

The dealership acknowledges bad sale( But my fault they say ) and just wants to keep me in honda not giving me time to look for anything else. but I did.my health isn't great but I tried a Hyundai sante fe whichjis one of few that fit .tried a Nissan morono /no ! but fit me.
a edge sport ..ugh ---a horrible Lincoln thing that didn't fit .and wanted to try a kia sportage, not sure why .Hyaundai will give 39 back on crv ...they are happy to do so but Hyundai felt like junk ,my mechanic said junk .

I even tried a Lexus ...cant afford .honestly I just want to get rid of the crv as I feel ike a sardine.I am alone ,own a condo and parking underground impossible but am willing to get ti because there is plenty snow here and although I dont drive much I loved the engine.

I see it this way if I cant walk very well ---I can drive at least,

so the honda dealership says my financing ends tomorrow? and the hyaudai will give me 39 for Crv ,,,but then Hyaundio is crap right ? my mechanic said that. .I cannot do a 7 seater as I am alone.
I am willig to take my parking chances w passport (wish mirrors folded )

I am looking for advice. I physically cannot try a bunch of cars . and I am ready to just buy the passport and hope for the best. I wanted whilte -dealer only has gray . Am ok with that I guess .they would get the white if I pushed .but save 1900 on loan w gray .

cannot afford those high end suv like Lexus.need reliability ,I am embarrassed but would not be the first person to buy the wrong car .I feel like an idiot for sure.
the passport up north here will cost me over 58 grand because I lost on the crv. f 5300 anyway ...for me a lot more. but he Santa Fe is 50 thousand loaded and junk right?
nothing fits me . I even checked legroom on all SUV . .subaru has most but I dont want one And goodness I am tired of looking ..

nothing will fix my legs I know that but at least the pp has some room ..seat is still short a bit but not like the CRV ,,,they build these for small ppl? I lost 4 grand on the CRV ...and well cars are 10 grand more in Canada .the CRV is worth 44 and pp worth 54 .dealership is pushing to complete deal. things I like pp --easier to get in -- its easier to go up than down w arthritis.-all features- just a better fit. and the motor.

So that is my sad story ,Ty for reading and if you have any advice to offer I welcome it.

Like a pair of new shoes, if you feel ANY slight discomfort, when you try them on in the store that discomfort will only become more noticeable as time goes by. The Passport seat does not fit you and you know it, so don't buy one.
You need a front bench seat, so you're not pinned against a center console, like in a Pickup truck. The more money that you spend on a pickup truck, the less likely that it will have a bench seat. Bench seats are available in the lower trim models.
Regarding you CR-v purchase last month...you will take a $5,400(ish) loss, regardless of where you trade it in. Get the lower trim 2020 RAM Tradesman Crewcab short bed 4x4 pickup truck, with air ride suspension. The Tradesman is the cheapest Dodge trim level. Stay away from the turbo and the diesel.

Thank you .I cannot get up that far into a truck .I tried LOL wish I could ,cause would buy one in heartbeat. Its a good idea . re Honda seat for me ,it is short did u find that ? and I am exhausted on this. Is PPseat same as in CRV ?it gives more width so allows my legs room .but youre probably right . I surrender ,I am 253 . ohh how I wish oi could buy a truck ...cant even get up into Toyota's .excellent idea tho .

My in-laws are still driving a rear wheel drive 1993 Lincoln Towncar, with a bench seat, because Larry is in the mid 300s.

I was near 300lbs and 5'11" (Long legs as well) when we owned our 2018 CRV. It fit me fairly well, but I know everyone's proportions are different. The Passport seats feel more comfortable than the CRV's did. The Passport is also a bit higher than the CRV. I agree that driving one is the best way to determine your comfort level with both the seat and step in height.

Get what fits, Hyundai is not crap, junk, or at least in my opinion. I have owned both recent Kia and Hyundai vehicles and they served me well. The second Kia enabled me to walk away from a life threatening head on collision. As far as financing going away, that is a salesman pressure technique to get you to commit. Haste makes waste. Deals are abound and sales are slow. Rent a vehicle until you find the perfect fit. You are about to dump boat load of money, you might as well be happy and confident that it is exactly what you want and more so need.

Our very proud Vietnam Veteran neighbor is convinced that buying a Korean brand, Kia Hyundai or Samsung, is buying your own demise by providing funds for that country’s nuclear warheads. So we all have Apple phones and drive Japanese, German or American cars (etc) in our neighborhood. ...and yes, he reminds us at EVERY block party. We love you Mr. Applegate. 😁

I am a very large (fat) man. I feel like I have plenty of room, and I think the seat is comfortable, even on long trips. The seatbelt fits, but I use a seatbelt extension anyway. The only beef I have is I wish Honda would have put the soft material that is on the door on the console where my knee rubs sometimes.

But everyone is different. If you feel that the seat is uncomfortable, then you should keep looking.

Are you able to get in the Passport alright? My mom has bad knees, and she has a heck of a time getting in. I bought the running boards hoping they would help, but they didn't, so I bought a small collapsible step. She's able to pick the step up with her cane after she gets in.

Kaytlin- you sound exhausted with this process and your past decision with the CRV. I want to encourage you to take a breather... and stay with it when you feel compelled. Making a second "wrong" decision by getting a vehicle that doesn't work for you will be even more depressing. Just take a break from the process until you get some renewed energy. You have car to get around in so I don't see the emergency purchase being necessary. Like Cheferman65 said regarding the salesman telling you the offer will expire- that's BS- and you should never feel pressured into spending your money. And I agree with him that Kia/Hyundai isn't crap. Early years of them, yes, but they have become pretty dependable vehicles. But that your choice and just my opinion.

Another thought that strikes me as I read your post- I hate to say/ask it and sorry if it insults you... but is it safe for you to be driving with your right leg in the condition it is. I can't imagine, based on your description, that you would be able to make quick leg/foot movements if necessary. Is your condition getting worse- progressing I mean? If so, have you ever considered adaptive type modifications to your vehicle. The kind that disability people install. If you can get with an occupational therapist, that's something in their wheelhouse that they might help with. I understand it's probably a lot of money for those installs, but just throwing it out there for consideration.-- If you are not at the point of needing the adaptive modifications please excuse my comments as I had no intention of offending.

thank you for your feedback ,I am not offended at all ,Interesting comment on your mom getting in with her cane ,I find it easier than going down but I see your point. and yes I should take a breather as its all too much . the sante fe fit perfectly,Not sure why but it just felt cheap .I haven't got the energy to look around and not sure why said it would expire .maybe the loan offer? I am okay with my knee for now but you also make a good point .thank you so much for responding.
