So I just refueled for the first time and was surprised to see that we don't have a fuel cap. Now I know what the little white funnel next to the spare is for.

I think the last time I had to pour gas from a can into my car was 1982...

Lol, it was 1978 Accord and running out of gas, sucked a bunch of contaminants into the carb and had to have it rebuilt...:(

Most other manufacturers wouldn't provide any funnel. At least Honda did. I think the cap-less fuel has 2 little spring loaded doors... the first one you see and the other behind that one an inch or so more in.

Great tip, thx and exactly why I’m here too, learning things about the PP / future me will not have to fumble through the manual when the door doesn’t pop open as I’ll recall this tip instead 😎🤣

No fuel cap? Doesn't having one help your mpg averages?

Remember: The funnel can also be used for siphoning fuel out of the fuel tank - for when the lawn mower fuel is at empty, of course, and one doesn't want to make a special trip to t he local fuel station. At least I surmise that can be done.
