Have a very good day to all! I'm a newbie here. I would like to say hello and introduce myself in this community.

Thank you so much!

Welcome JS.
Rule #1 is you've got to post a "proof of ownership" pic of your PP.

Now sit back and enjoy the site (and the PP).

Or in the alternative, have a flimsy excuse for not having bought one. ?

Welcome.

Welcome aboard James!, so do you have a Passport or perhaps planning to buy one?

If you haven’t purchased one yet, like myself, tread lightly here. We have some very sensitive folks here that don’t quite understand the reason to be cautious while doing research and finding pretty serious problems. ? If you did purchase one already, best of luck with your new ride, and enjoy!

I encourage you to speak openly and honestly. Disregard the taunting you may receive if you happen to have an issue with your PP, or mention problems that others are having.

No need to tread lighty, you can say anything within the rules here, problems could arise if most of your posts are regarding PP problems (that people having) and then arguing, I'm sure you'll be just fine James...

God forbid we point out and discuss PP problems! That’s what forums like this are for; to inform people of the problems so they can make educated decisions when evaluating a vehicle. It should also allow for owners to discuss those problems and share possible solutions. A forum is not supposed to be filled with cheerleaders, but also those who have problems, and not diminish those problems as trivial.

Potential buyers should be treated equally as current owners, which is not the case here. Questioning the PP’s quality issues should not be construed as arguing, or labeling a person a troll. I’ve been nothing but polite since I joined.

Someone recently mentioned that only 30 members or so actively post. The reason is probably the negativity towards anyone who mentions a PP problem. I’ve seen it many times. Just because some here have not experienced problems does not give them the right to dismiss others who have.

Do you own this site? I'm pretty sure you don't and thus are not qualified to state what this website is for! I think we all know what YOU think it is for.

Owners do discuss problems, and you seem to want to fan the flames, that is why so many people here have problems with you.

A forum is not supposed to be filled with cheerleaders, but also those who have problems, and not diminish those problems as trivial.
Again with this, are you the one that defines what Forums should be for? It sounds more like you are injecting YOUR personal beliefs. When YOU own your own Forum, you can dictate what is or is not supposed to happen. In fact, since you are home, rich and oh so smart, why don't you start a website titled: I'd-buy-a-passport-if they-weren't-piles-of-junk.com, I'm sure the masses would flood it with posts and you could make ALL the rules!

As far I can recall there is only one person that trolls this site, while presenting himself as a potential buyer, arguing with anyone that gets in his way.

I’ve been nothing but polite since I joined.
Oh really?, then I guess we have all been so lucky...

The reason is probably the negativity towards anyone who mentions a PP problem.
What you fail to recognize, is that it gets very tiresome, not for you now, but for the actual PP owners!

I’ve seen it many times.
I believe you have, you have problems with people on other websites as well, do you? What people don't understand all your politeness and honest intentions?

Just because some here have not experienced problems does not give them the right to dismiss others who have.
No one dismisses the ACTUAL OWNERS who have issues, they may have problem with PRETEND or WANNA BE owners who further bash Honda and Passports, not saying there is a conspiracy or anything, just humans tend to think that way.

Somewhere you said you have a RAV4, do you spend much time over on the RAV4 Forums bashing their current model?

Shirley, there are other Forums you could share some time with; how about joining a Lakers Forum and then bashing the team and telling the fans there it's ok, because you're thinking about becoming a fan? Or joining the Rolling Stones Forum and talking about how you want to be a fan, if they could only release one good album and how they have pretty much sucked since the 60's or you could join the Republican site and bash the President and tell everyone it's all ok, because you're a Republican...

Oh and sorry about airing the dirty laundry in your thread James, If you like to learn more about Beachbum, please feel free to read his posts in the Complaints Forum, he's both helpful and polite...
