How do I turn on the PP in accessory mode?

Also, as a bonus question, Im not a huge fan of the center info console + carplay staying on when I turn off the PP.
If I hit the volume knob it will turn off audio but not the console. Is it possible to turn off the info display without opening and closing the driver door as if leaving the vehicle?

To get into ACC mode just press the start button w/o your foot on the brake. Wait about 5 sec and you will see a message on the screen above the steering wheel indicating the PP is going into ACC mode.
