The first thing I pictured when I saw the scoop was LIGHTS! I love how the Passport is sticking it to 4Runner, Land Cruiser, Land Rover and Bronco Sport with all those design cues! Granted, it doesn't come close to the offroad ability of some of those, but the statement that Honda is making is awesome! "Look out, we're new to the game, and officially on the board!" It only gets better from here! I can't wait to see the 5GPPTS!

Yeah I totally agree. The 2026 is a bit too edgy for someone my age especially the orange but here they only have one in stock at a time so...

I do a lot of driving on country roads in moose season so I'm looking for a clean way to install a couple of driving lights without hacking. I don't want snow, water or salt slush to actually get into the engine compartment through that fake vent but looks like the only place to put a couple of driving lights.

What you are going for there reminds me of the fog lights in the Tundra. They are integrated in to the grill and pretty much vanish when not in use. Key for me would be to find a light that fits in, does not impact the integrity of the hood and can be aimed or integrated in to the auto dim feature so the Popo doesn't take exception. I doubt there is much if any depth behind that plastic.

Does anyone know if that "scoop" is just held on with body tape or clips? How do you propose to seal the hole for wires and to prevent water, salt and dirt from getting in and starting it to corrode?

What about adding lights up by the A pillars?

I was thinking about retrofitting some old Nissan license plate LED lights to the hood scoop area... the finish would be very similar, and they are small enough to work.... ill probably try them out soon

Just saw this on camping randy and it's def a launching pad for getting a light bar in there

the hard thing about the scoop on the passport... is its overall profile... its actually very narrow, and the side profile is shaped like a "Z" ... its hard to explain, but the "inner part" or "back" of the hood scoop isnt awkwardly angled... no light sits flush against the back of it... itll take extensive cutting to fit anything "inside" of it... hence why i wanted to plop some license plate lights onto it. Ill get around to it at some point lol
