2019-2021 has aluminum hood, so hood struts may work. 2022+ have steel hood, much heavier, don't think I would trust hood struts to be as secure or last as last as longer under heavier hoods.

For D-I-Y-ers, the prop rod offers 2 opening positions, normal and NBA heights.

You wont like that investment. especially your mechanic wont like the low hood opening. As for secure hold or longevity the quality struts will last 7 years, easily.

Ideas: New air freshener, cool polish, sound deadening of wheels arches (Kilmats on cabin side), rust inhibitor for underbody...

 

the mechanics I talked too loved them when I brought it in for an oil change. If any REAL work needed to be done to open the hood all the way up they can undo 2 bolts on the body then use the prop rod. Don't know any mechanic who hates them since it's takes 2.2 seconds to undo a bolt on each side 🙃🫠

 

I have and LOVE them! Super easy to install. Better if a buddy helps with the hood but I didn't, just don't take out the bolt all the way from the hood

I don't lift the hood enough to justify the modification.
It's a Honda.

 

I would search out American made struts. Never had good luck with Chinese made hard parts. Eventually the products fail…without a doubt!
