HondaLink and Send Destination to Car

I have now gotten my HondaLink to work somewhat. I get no odometer update or gas tank reading, but I can send a destination to my navigation in the car from the app. I like that, but—I like to use the map to locate the place I’m looking for, but I’ve not found anyway to mark a place on the map that I want to set as a destination unless it’s already a POI. In Apple maps, if you just press the point it becomes marked no matter where you are, even just a residential street. It even gives you the address. The map in the HondaLink app appears to be Apple maps, but I cannot mark a spot. Does anyone know if this can be done? It is actually the only feature I’ve found valuable to me in HondaLink, and I would hope to find a way for it to work like Apple maps and allow you to simply mark a destination.

I haven't used the HondaLink feature. Is there a subscription charge for that to work?
Though much requires a subscription, this particular feature does not. It is listed under the “Link” package, which is free. If anyone knows otherwise please advise.

Well, I don’t know what I did, but the Dashboard on HondaLink is now working with the odometer, oil life, range and tire pressures all working fine. I figured out to just go Apple maps or Google maps and get the address, then copy and paste into the HondaLink app. Then send it to the car. It works okay. Though extremely thin on features, the HondaLink app might actually be worth something.

When using Apple Maps, after finding your destination, it is possible to click the "share" arrow and select the Hondalink App to send the destination to your car. Apparently this does not work with Google Maps on the iPhone.

I have never seen the share button. Thanks. That completes the circle.
