Hmmm. This is more of a PR campaign than truly helping people. I’m not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, but this multi-billion dollar company is only offering 1 million dollars for “food insecurity” across the country. Even with the company match, it’s still a comparably small contribution to society. They probably spent more on this whole ad campaign.
Offering only 10 days of personal leave for employees who have been quarantined, have Covid, or have children under 12 isn’t great, especially when the government has agreed to give money to companies to keep paying their employees during the shutdown.
Putting the pandemic aside, why does Honda give recent college grads a $500 allowance towards a purchase or lease, but nothing for a disabled Veteran who fought for their country?
