Sadly nothing is made like it used to be! If it’s something you like overall then you have to take the good with the bad.
Not going to pay 40K plus for a maybe.Sadly nothing is made like it used to be! If it’s something you like overall then you have to take the good with the bad.
100% true!Do your research and you will find quality that still stands the test of time. Honda has steadily declined but not just because of quality control, but because of the complexity of the reviews. Technology has changed with the times and reviewers are dinging brands for the type of shifter installed rather than overall satisfaction or ride quality. This notion that everything declines in quality over time is dumb.
I think mechanically it should be fairly reliable, it's just the little things that seem to have gone downhill since the mid 2000s. I remember they used to be much better quality. It’s pretty poor in reality. Will definitely be trading ours at the end of the lease.
Yes mechanically it’s been fine and comfortable on trips. I have noticed all the fit and finish problems you mentioned. I attribute it to the Alabama factory and really not GAF in assembly.I think mechanically it should be fairly reliable, it's just the little things that seem to have gone downhill since the mid 2000s. I remember they used to be much better quality.
Knowing my experience with dealers, they will do more damage fixing it than just live with these minor issues. You should have addressed all these things before driving it off the lot.
Your warranty will cover all of them, however, it will be a PIA to them to react now.
I am not unhappy. I am happy to have a PP. It's just my personal observation that it's unfortunate that Honda is not what they used to be.I can't imagine everyone that is this unhappy with a vehicle and still drives it.
I can solve your complex equation to your issues, trade it or sell it.
The thing is, I feel like these days, car makers don't design a good vehicle from the beginning anymore. They just slap whatever they can find cheapest together and then write the software to hide all the issues. I am sure the mechanical will last a long time, however, it's not as smooth as some of the inhouse design components anymore.I think mechanically it should be fairly reliable, it's just the little things that seem to have gone downhill since the mid 2000s. I remember they used to be much better quality.
I agree. Mine went to the dealer for the add ons, they screwed that up. Then the fuel pump in august and that was a shit show. There has been a clip missing from the tailgate since I bought it, that can’t even go right the two times I took it in. But now you have to live with your very long list of issues or have something else go wrong.Knowing my experience with dealers, they will do more damage fixing it than just live with these minor issues.
