Hey all 👋
Admittedly, I’m not active on forums, but I wanted to share this with you all.
Honestly, I under estimated how difficult this trail would be. I was really surprised that the Passport made it up without much fuss.

My passport is 2 inch lifted with 2.5 inch taller tires. Nolo skid plate for protection and I disconnected my rear sway bars (which is quite easy to do. I reattach them when I hit the road).

Thanks Jon! I've been following your videos which were part of my decision to get my Passport and they're very well done / very informative. Unfortunately I'll have to live vicariously through you on the overlanding stuff for now. I'm going to have to be satisfied with a few fire service or gravel roads around here in MN short term...
I particularly enjoyed your Zion NP video as we were just out there 2 summers ago, and I swear we drove up to that same lookout point where you slept (we didn't sleep out in the rental car though - stayed at the LaQuinta in Springdale).

Always enjoy watching your videos! It's good to see that the upcoming Ridgelines will have the 9 speed tranny. Was wondering the same - do you have a tranny cooler? I know that the Ridgelines have one as standard equipped.

Good question! I don’t! Crazy HUH??? After turning off the A/C temps dropped down to 218 F. Towards the rocky section, the transmission was at 204 F. I do plan on getting one, I want the transmission to last as long as possible. I’ll be forking out the cash for OEM, and have them do the install as well. For stuff like this, I just don’t trust myself on the install.

I had the OEM cooler installed by the dealer along with the hitch. Am planning on towing a single axle iPod camper trailer. I too usually do most of the work on my cars but wanted to be sure everything was under warranty. Be sure whoever installs yours checks the fluid afterwards. My selling dealer did not. A local dealer had to top it off but at no charge. Look fwd. to your next video!
