2019 Elite here… FINALLY got my OEM hitch installed. It was not problem to get the hitch and harness, but I had to wait almost a year for the kick sensor relocater since it was on back order.

Went with a Rhino USA hitch shackle for a nice recovery point for now… at least until my Dirtcom Trail Swing arrives!

Thanks! Probably not much. Mostly just wanted it so I could carry a full size spare and maybe a bike rack. Might try a small teardrop camper but not much bigger.

Haha yep. Expensive, but good quality and exactly what I was looking for!
Installed the Honda tow hitch today so I can carry a cargo carrier or rack behind the vehicle. ~350 bucks shipped to me, plus the stubby 10mm wrench I spent $15 on.

Overall happy with the appearance and height of the hitch, not losing any clearance for off road. Only slightly more effort and money required than if I had gone with an aftermarket design. Paying the dealership for this job should be reserved for people who have no mechanical skills. This was not that hard, especially with threads on this forum and videos that show the process. Saved about 500 bucks vs. the dealership, if not more.
Aaaaaaand the trail swing is on!

Nearly complete trick set-up now on your '19 Elite.

Based on your photos of 18x8 wheels with 255/55R18 tires (I finally found YOUR helpful & clear examples, unlike yourself when you were searching to find the same in your early due diligence) and the Dirtcom TRAIL SWING #DCTS10-1, I can now easily visualize my 2020 Honda Passport Elite AWD (Black Copper Pearl) in that similar long desired set-up.

TFS your journey on settling down to the sized tires that I had talked myself into to avoid ANY issues. Specially if snow cables were ever needed in the future to avoid any chance of rubbing/snagging the cables and jacking up my suspension in the process.

My new wheels arrive in 2 days. I went with the HPD Black 18x8 (55 inset versus the OEM Elite 20x8.5" wheel that has a 55 OFFSET). The new wheels will slide right on the same hub specs.

I'm now leaning towards the TOYO TIRE OPEN COUNTRY A/T III 255/55R18 109H XL BSW
(my local America's Tire) item #88424. The kicker is that they are made in the USA (Japanese brand).

I'm not considering lifting my 2020 with only 36k miles on it until the new tire choice needs replacing at about 100k miles on my rig (coincides with the extended warranty expiration, not that it would be an issue, just good timing). At that point, a 2" or 3.5" Traxda suspension lift, along with larger tires and skid plates (perhaps these will go on sooner) will be the final touches that I will be interested in to round out her off-road look and feel.

Thanks again for sharing your journey as the visuals do my concept (your reality) justice. ✌🏼
