Hi, I have a 2020 EX-L FWD and I need a solution to carry two E-Bikes around occasionally. Should I go with Honda for the hitch? They want $675 for parts & labor. I also would like to see if anyone has any idea what type of carrier I would need.

One bike weighs 100 Lbs. and the other one weighs about 60 Lbs.

Thanks in advance - I tried looking around the forum first, but only saw posts for really heavy items.

Hitch will handle it, it's a proper bike rack that you need. Yikes 100#! May I suggest a small utility trailer.

If you're able and willing, buy the hitch via Bernardi parts on line, install it yourself.

I’ve seen plenty of ebikes along our bike path on Thule, 1Up and Kuat racks.
Just look at each one and make sure it’s rated for what you want.
Also, not sure if there is still a bike rack shortage, along with bikes like there was last year. But something to think about.

I bet, another thing we can blame on the pandemic. Many industries, especially ones abroad have fallen behind as demand is huge and production slowed/stopped.
You are 100% correct!
Sadly, we rely on too many industries from abroad.

Btw - just heard from my entertainment touring sources yesterday, the next big toilet paper epidemic is port-o-potties for festivals and concerts. Many are made in China and they are still down in production because the demand isn’t there and they don’t have truck drivers because so many went to drive for Amazon, FedEx, or UPS!

Yikes! They are God Awful things to begin with... Did the Ren Faire thing for many years and "privies" were always nasty with no real proper way to wash up after... It's a wonder dysentery didn't completely wipe out civilization...

I can’t agree with you more! I’ll find a tree or parked car to hide behind before I go in one of those! 🤢

I had a Curt brand hitch installed on my Passport and have a Thule Easyfold XT 2 bike rack for carrying our two ebikes which each weigh about 55 lbs. The Curt hitch receiver fits right up against the rear bumper valance and looks good. It is specifically made for the Passport. Check out E-Trailer.com. It bolts right up the the factory threaded holes in the frame. The installer I used did it in less than ten minutes. I should have grabbed a friend and done it myself but didn't have a torque wrench.

I guess you never had to work on heavy construction or building trade...... When you have to work for a living , it's a different world......

Thanks - Honda just quoted me over $800 for the install without the Lighting harness - I said it was just 6 screws??? They said it was more than that that they had to take off the bumper, etc.... Not sure but it sounds ridiculous!

I will go with E-Trailer

Work for a living,..🤔 Are you implying that people that are in the construction or building trade are the only ones who "work"? and how does that translate to my comment of PortOPotties being nasty and God Awful?
No, I chose a different career path, tried the manual labor thing by helping out a friend start a commercial landscape business. Not my cup of tea.
Little fyi for those who think being a chef is all glitz, glamour and glory. Well, it ain't.
Long hours, incredibly stressful, lots of sacrifice of family time, weekends, holidays, nights...and hot, dangerous confined working conditions. Just because we poo and pee indoors w/ hot water and soap to wash up after (you're all welcome) doesn't mean we as professionals work any less hard as the construction crew.

First of all are you sure your e-bike weights 100lbs?
That's quite heavy for an e-bike and you would have a hard time lifting it onto a rack.

Also, most of your average bike racks won't support a 100lb bike.

Take a look at the Quik Rack. This is the improved version of the 1Up USA and I know it has an increased weight range over the 1Up and also has a ramp for heavy e-bikes.
I know they aren't available at the moment just like many others things but you can get on a wait list.
