I'm happy to announce that I am now a brand new owner of a 2021 Passport Elite in white with black wheels. I currently drive a 2014 Accord EX-L which will be given to my brother as a second car daily driver once I finish upgrading two things. First, I've ordered a set of Voxx Lago 18" wheels with 245 60/18 Bridgestone Blizzak DMV2 tires. I've driven on snow tires every winter in every vehicle I've owned for the past 20 years. Once I install them, it's a drive to electronics store to upgrade the stereo. I've already been using this forum the past couple of days and it helped me finalize my decision to buy the suv. Glad to be here and hope to see positive comments like the Driveaccord forums.

Welcome. Congrats on your new Passport.
These white rigs with all the black trim and black wheels really pop.
Happy for you!

Welcome and Congrats! I saw your posts in the Stereo Forum, with IronChef, he is by far our best Stereo Upgrade Resource Guy here. And he has done (by far) the most extensive Passport SQ upgrade, so you are talking to the right person there.

As you probably know, the Elite & Touring have a pretty good 540w 10-channel stereo, good enough for most casual listeners.

But I have have had a history of stereo upgrades with my vehicles going back to the 70's:
1) 1971 Pinto: I bought the very first (consumer priced) AM/FM Cassette Deck (Company name was Westport and they later became Concord) with RCA-out connectors and a separate 25wpc (lol) Amp, which I mated up with custom rear enclosures with Philips Tweeters & Mid-ranges & 8" Woofers.
2) Had a 1984 Prelude, left everything stock, but upgraded the speakers to infinity 6 x 9's with the famous Emit Tweeters!
3) Had a 1994 GMC small truck, with a Sony head unit, a 6-CD changer, an a/d/s 4-channel amp powering MB Quarts (front) and Alpine tweeters & Inifinity 4" midranges (rear) and a Kenwood mono amp powering a dual 7" a/d/s sub box.
4) Had a 1995 Accord Sedan and built a custom shelf spaced about 5 inches under the the rear deck, in the trunk and mounted a 4 Channel PPI amp and a sub amp that powered more MB Quarts and a 12" JL Sub in a trunk-mounted enclosure.
5) For 16 years drove a couple of BMW's and did not upgrade as they sounded pretty good and since they were expensive cars, didn't want to dump ever more money into them.
6) 2019 Passport: upgrade wheels and tires, upgraded the front and rear speakers with Focals, which was a big improvement, but still not enough, you can read about what I will be doing next (Jan 7/8/9) in the Stereo forum...

Cheers!

Happy MANY Passport Days!

The white on black is looking so good with the mods people are making.
I still can’t get past the Star Wars Stormtrooper thought when I see them!

I've been reading up on those threads to help me make my decisions. I've had stereo upgrades since the mid-90's myself starting with Alpine head units and replacing factory speakers in my 1989 Acura Integra LS. Then in my 1998 Acura Integra Type R, I went with Alpine head unit again with I can't remember the door and rear speakers with Kicker Comp 12" subs running on Phoenix Gold M44 and M100 amps. Moving onto a 2002 Lexus IS300 with Boston Acoustics speakers in the door and rear deck with JL Audio 12w3 subs running on Slash 300/4 and 500/1 amps. That system was removed and installed in my 2014 Accord EX-L. Going with all new components in the Passport but skipping the head unit as I want all the factory head unit features, I'm still deciding on JL Audio amps (go with old Slash series or try the new VX series with DSP) and the new 12T subs. This will be my biggest investment in an aftermarket system in 16 years so I'm willing to spend a decent amount to do it right.

Oh, yeah, you had some pound systems for sure!
