Bill here. Long time Honda fan. I've been a member of the Element owner's forum since I bought her new in '08. She has 190K on her now so I needed to add to the stable. My wife bought a new car in Feb and the trade in value wasn't there so I kept it for a daily driver to slow down the aging of the Element. Five months later, it became apparent I had made a terrible decision. So now Ellie shares the stable with Polly, a 2022 Trailsport in Sonic Gray Pearl. I don't know if I'll ever get over Honda not making new Elements but I must say Polly is growing on me. Loads of room, although I don't think I'll be able to load my snow blower in it, and you gotta love that V6.

I plan on adding the Curt class 3 hitch along with the T-One wiring harness. I've read how the transmission cooler is hard to come by and found them in stock at Hondaoempartsonline so I ordered one. $350 shipped. I've read several times that the install is 5 or 6 hours. The site I ordered it from says installation will take an hour! At least I know what I'm up against.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to other useful additions?

Thanks in advance for all the help I'm sure to receive being a member of this forum.

Welcome! And love the rig!

I'd recommend for the Honda OEM hitch and wiring harness! The curt one sits below the bumper and loses a lot of clearance. Honda isn't too expensive and fits very nice in the new valance they send!

The ATF cooler sucks really bad, the 9-speed is even harder to install over the older 6-speeds/etc. very tightly packed up in there. I assessed it who does essentially all of my own installs and talked to a Honda tech who does all the installs at the local dealership and ended up going with him doing it. He does like ~5 a day and still does not like doing them. I wish you luck if you decide to take on ha!

I'm a fan of window tint (protect interior, stay cool, look cool), the idlestopper to prevent auto stop feature, and maybe some mud flaps and LED lighting. Otherwise you don't really need to do anything if you don't want! I have a whole list of things on my new member post if you're interested in looking!

Forgot the mud flaps, looking at Weather Tech. Haven't looked into LEDs, figured everything was already LEDs. I would love to deactivate the idle shut off, I'll look into that. Thanks. Been a member 30 min and already I'm learning!
Also a wireless carplay adapter is very convenient too.

I think your high beams, interior lights, and turn signals are not LED.
