Has anyone added a leather wrapped Heated Steering Wheel from an EX-L or higher Trim to a Sport Trim? The dealer says this is not possible, is this true?

I'm just guessing here, but if the dealer says it's not possible, then it's probably not possible. Why would they say no if they could do it and make money from it?
The dealership added it to my wife's EX-L.
The heated steering wheel was the one feature that I didn’t think I would ever use down here in Texas but it came on one day when I remotely started my car and I have to admit that I really liked it. I use it all the time now.
I never thought I'd use it in SoCal either.

Who knew?
We definitely use it up here in North Dakota lol. It heats up quickly too, much quicker than the wheel on her old X5 did.
I am working on it... just working on what way to give power so no other components are triggered... I am almost there ?..
I’ll post up when finished...
comes standard on canadian sport kinda nice when cold.
I got mine working but, there are some warnings on dash. The car is working perfectly.
I am going to drive for a while to see if the warnings goes away.

Update..
It turns out that the warnings were wheel miss alignment and tire rotation and sensors need to be recalibrated. What I don't get is why I dint get the warnings before. But, after disconnecting and reconnecting the battery...
So I want to add a heated steering wheel to my Touring model. The issue is that my interior is gray and the wheels only come in black. I don't mind putting on a black wheel since the car is black, but my current airbag cover is gray and I think the two-tone will look funny. Does anyone know if they sell just the black cover? or do I have to buy the airbag with it? If so I will have a Heated steering wheel for sale soon. Thanks, Jay

The 'cover' you are writing about is the airbag module (77810-THR-A81ZA) asssembly . . . and those are over $400.
I cannot locate a-n-y source for just the vinyl trim portion of the module . . . and I am guessing you are willing to assume all risk of disassemble/assemble of that airbag.

Looked at availability of grey color heated steering wheel in twins Pilot or Ridgeline . . . none found.

Definitely don't want to mess with the airbag, I was hoping there was another alternative to a new $400.00 airbag. But yes our steering wheel is gray. But thank you and I guess I will be selling the heated steering wheel.
