I know some of you never thought this time would come, but I’m gathering quotes now and hope to seal a deal next week. So far, the best deal I found on a 2020 Elite is $39,500, which includes destination. Excludes TTL. They tried to pad the sticker with nitrogen filled tires, “Safe Program”???, and some other crap. They want $600 dealer doc fee. Countering with removing the bogus add-ons and a doc fee of $200.

Also, want to add the following, if the item costs and labor are reasonable. Got prices from BKHondaParts and Bernardi, and the estimated time to install each item. I’ll give them a very slight markup on the items, and be tight on the labor, as some options have overlapping labor.
  1. Trailer Hitch
  2. Trailer Hitch Harness
  3. Hands free kick sensor adapter for hitch
  4. Rear Welcome Lights
  5. Honda running boards with lights
  6. Lighted door sill protectors
  7. Honda window visors
  8. Splash guards
  9. Wheel locks
  10. Cargo cover
  11. Cargo folding mat
Parts cost for above about $1,650. Shipping $145 (half off of $290). Probably offer $650 on the install labor. If I wasn’t so banged up, I’d be installing the stuff myself.

Additional add-ons:
  1. Clear bra
  2. Door handle film
  3. Headlight protector
  4. Front side window tinting
  5. Windshield UV Film
  6. Fumoto oil drain valve
Electronics:
  1. BlackVue DR900S-2CH 4K front and rear dash cams with 128GB, Wi-Fi and cloud
  2. VCM II module
  3. Auto stop/start disabler
  4. Rapid blink third backup light module

Do it...Do it...

That‘s a good deal. Is that an AWD?
Not sure where you are located?
And WTF are nitrogen filled tires and the safe program?

Also, get the XPEL clear bra right away before you get a rock chip!

In SoCal, one year ago today, I paid the following for my Elite AWD. Absolutely no negotiation on the price, all I could get out of them was 1 free year on a 5 year warranty package. I had also been looking for Modern Steel Touring since it was released. Never found it, but did find my Elite.

Elite AWD in April 2019
$46,497.13 sticker
$49,116.00 includes tax, doc fees, etc...with no add ones.

$600 doc fee? Whoa! What state are you in? Here in Oregon I paid $150 doc fee and $99 doc fee. No tax.

I’m in Jersey. Some dealers are fillimg tires with Nitrogenh and charging $200 for that service.
I have never heard of that. I did google it. And unless you are racing your Passport I’d call their bluff on that! How do you even prove they do put nitrogen in the tires too?

$39500 including destination is a great price for a 2020 Elite at this time! Inventory levels are low, selection is limited due to factory shut-down. Speculation if best price now or when production andlife begins to get back to a new normal.

Getting dealer parts departments to price match lowest online prices (even with shipping included) is rarified air, at least in the Pacific Northwest. Parts dept price matches to non-local online sellers is tough, especially on 11 items, several of which are among most popularly sold, profitable accessories. Good Luck.

All Elites are AWD :)
And nitrogen-filled tires get special-edition green tire valve caps, resulting in increased mpg, greater acceleration, shorter stopping distance, increased tire traction, & preferred parking at Packers & Jets games :ROFLMAO:

Oregon statute regulates document fee to $125-$150. And no sales tax, but beginning 01/2020 Oregon initiated Oregon Corporation Tax (typically about $200+/vehicle) plus county tax (another $200/4-years):(

Wishing you the best with your new Passport that will be in your driveway SOON!!!

Hands Free Tailgate Adapter $121 / $89 / $13

Actually, the only benefit that Nitrogen has over Oxygen is that it's more stable. Your pressure won't go up much when the tires are warm, nor drop much when it's cold. That, and the lovely green valve stem caps...

Is it worth it? Probably not. But some people swear by it.

I worked for a company once, who tried to empower the workers with a edict that went something like this:

Make sure you're right - then proceed..

Which I suppose is exactly what you have been doing....

All of my tires are filled with 78.09% Nitrogen. They work just fine.

I like your ambitious list of add-ons. I added cast running boards, front and rear mud flaps, vinyl sill protectors and hatch sill protector, LED interior lights to my Elite. All were supper easy to install. I with I would have added the door handle film as finder nails add scratches. I also tinted the fronts to match the backs.

Why that's identical to my experience, and I'm using a southern fill.

In 6 weeks there will be a Memorial Day Extravaganza and 4 weeks after that there will be the Independence Day Sale.
You've got time on your side, in this economy and might get a couple more thousand off.
If you were using numbers from TruCar or Edmunds, you will fall off their Hot Lead list in 30 days and you'll have the opportunity to get back on, in time for the next big sale.

I’d never pay for nitrogen. Stealerships constantly come up with new money making comics. Profit margin has to be huge on nitrogen!

I would love to install everything myself. After two back surgeries, neck surgery, and the recent shoulder surgery, I’m at the mercy of someone else to do the installs.

I stepped into the shower on Friday and got a sharp pain up my leg and into my back which caused a nasty spasm that is still not fully worked out. Unfortunately, very bad genetics on my mother’s side. So now physical activity is quite limited. I’ve educated myself very well over the years on back health, and have a good exercise/stretching routine. I avoid pain killers, and focus on mechanics and posture.

Back on topic.... I wanted to treat myself this time around, as I upgrade from my 05 Pilot, which I purchased new. It served me very well, but it’s time.

Are you keeping your '05 Pilot, or will it be part of the purchase negotiation?
The old Pilot will either be a trade in, or go to a family member.

Supply is getting pretty thin, and color selection is dwindling. All depends on how far you want to drive to get one, or get a dealer swap. Prices are coming down, and dealerships are definitely getting hungry. I’m sitting on email quotes and voicemail while I do my comparisons. I should be ready to move on something this weekend.
