I have seen this in other makes of vehicles so I was wondering if I can make it happen in my 2020 Touring.
When receiving a text message (Android phone), the words come up on the radio screen and you can also get a mechanical voice to read it to you.
Does anyone know if that is possible with this unit?

it does it for Apple devices hardwired (USB) connected, I would think Android is just as sophisticated..

If you are using an Android phone, ask Google Assistant to read your messages to you, this can be done with or without Android Auto running. If Android Auto is running, tap the Google Assistant icon on the infotainment screen or hold down the talk button on the steering to activate assistant. I have a 2020 Touring and with my Samsung Note 9 connected with Bluetooth my text messages are read out while driving. You can also have some stored responses available to reply.

I have a Pixel 6 Pro and the car, if asked, will read all text messages.
