I installed a UPR catch can, when the engine had 700 miles. Then I drove it 1300 miles over a weekend, and found some oil in my catch can. Enough to coat half of the bottom of the can.
My "clean side" hose, which goes to the top/center of the engine did not have any oil or oil residue, because the can did its job.
