Based on what your needs for the hitch are the trans cooler would be the last thing to get. And as pshadoa stated the strange noise on the 7-8 shift. I think the wiring harness would be more beneficial with regards to versatility with the hitch. It's really not that difficult to install, just got done with installing it last weekend.

You sound confident with the hitch install and with that being said, personally don't think you would have any problems with the wiring harness! I also installed the adapter for the kick sensor and have had zero issues with it's operation. Works just as dependable as the original.
