Will a full size spare fit under the back, if you get an OEM trailer hitch?

Under the back of the Passport? On the Outside? I doubt it...

I suppose if you had the Trailer hitch you could get a vertical bar-setup that fits into hitch that you could mount a full size spare onto...

So, I bought a PP today and I am positive that no tire, be it full sized or a donut, will ever fit under the rear of my PP with or without a hitch.
Now I don't have to worry about buying an OEM hitch.

No, it won’t fit. I looked at this option too.

AWD models have 8.1 inches of ground clearance
FWD models have 7.5 inches of ground clearance clearance

Our OEM tires and wheels are 8.5”

Your best bet is to mount a full size spare to your trailer.

I wonder where did they measure for the "ground clearance". I always thought of that and a couple of days ago, I actually crouched down and measured it myself. I measured from the lowest part of my EX-L AWD and it was only 7".

I'm thinking of a Hitchgate in the spring. Uses the receiver hitch and has a "pass-through" so that it can still be used for towing, and a swing arm to allow the tire to move out of the way to open the back.
