Hi. I was wondering if anyone has had the same problem. My 2019 passport Elite will be in traffic waiting for light and will shut off and shift to neutral.Car then needs to be shut off and then restarted again to put into drive. This has happened several times. Took it to dealer and they could not find anything wrong. They offer to sell me an overpriced cabin air filter though.
Mine just did this exact thing. Did you find a solution?

Any resolution to the issue of the car shifting into neutral on its own when stopped? I’m hesitant to bring it into the dealer without more information. So many are reporting that the dealer can’t figure it out.

This just happened for the first time on my 2021 awd EX-L. I noticed the battery signal turned red too. I got honked at midtraffic but managed to turn the passport on and off again to fix the issue. Should I call Honda and have them take a look at it?

The issue is the Idle Stop system, the battery is depleted (or getting there) so the Idle Stop system can't restart the engine after turning it off at a stop light.
For a fix:
1. Get your battery checked.
2. If it didn't pass and you are still under warranty, ask your dealer for a new one.
3. Ask the dealer to perform the Idle Stop software update Honda just released.
