Welcome Dynamic DJ's! That's definately a first for in here!
That's impressive, never bought two new cars at the same time, closest I did was buying my Passport in March and my daughters Forester in June (this year)!

Hope to hear about BOTH of them in our Forums here...

Cheers

I bought my wife's CR-V and my Passport at the same time! I just realized I have to pay for registration on both now at the same time (in Colorado it is a use tax, so I'll have to shell out about $1600 for the two) Woops ?

Holy smokes.... thats worse than California registration. Its like $650 for my passport . Cant imagine a CRV is more than that

It will be about $736 for the CR-V and $946 for the Passport. It is based on MSRP and weight. For the next 4 years, the cost goes down to ~$100(?), so Colorado does not encourage the purchase of a new car.

What does Colorado do with that revenue? They certainly do not make smooth quiet roads, in town or on the highway! They do create massive 4-way intersections where the light changes so fast that sometimes only the first two rows make it through if people are paying attention! ?

It is my impression the state legislators see car taxes and gasoline revenue as the federal government sees the Social Security revenue: as easy cash to spend on their pet projects and not maintaining the roads and highways.
