There are numerous discussions about driving in the snow (NA to me in lower Alabama).
Any comments on driving in the rain (a frequent event here) = standing water puddles of several inches deep.

To date I've not noticed anything remarkable - but I tend to slow down when things get wet.

For starters, I know i always aim for the puddle. That being said, if you have the AWD variant, enjoy the constant availability of traction in most ALL conditions. I drove 500 miles in heavy rain and encountered no issues, so long as you keep your speed reasonable and prudent for current road conditions and avoid hydroplaning

I’ve driven in heavy rain and puddles in the road without any issues. It can certainly rain hard in Florida.

I was hoping to hear from the dare-devils about how they successfully scream thru the wet twisties, without a fearful thought.

In my case I have a fear of hydro-planning; I've too often hit these puddles only to be suddenly jerked around (until the car slows down). One can't visually tell if the standing water is 1/16" or 4". Additionally there is the frequent possibility of an approaching vehicle splashing a huge wave of water onto my windshield, meaning I'm blind for a swipe (or two) of the wipers.

I also fear spiders and snakes.

Before you get too daredevilish keep in mind that while the engine is pretty well sealed it is not waterproof. Many a flying daredevil has learned the cost of a new engine after screaming thru water only to seize up an engine from water infiltration.

Best thing for those in wet areas, good tires replaced a little more frequently. If you start to hydroplane it doesn't matter if you are driving a 2WD, 4WD, AWD or 10WD, at the least you are going to be changing into clean underwear.
