I have a 2019 Passport EXL and a 2018 Ridgeline that both have the exact same drivers seats...After about 30 minutes of driving either I get a right leg calf pain that no matter how I adjust the seats I cannot make it go away. (I do not drive with my wallet in my hip pocket) I have searched around and most information points towards a sciatica problem...And some information says its more prominent with bucket seats??? (I can set for hours in my recliner with no problem) So what I'm asking is; Anyone else with this problem, And if anyone has a "for sure solution'??? Thank You, larryd

That seems very strange. What kind of shoes do you wear when driving?

Over on the 8thcivic dot com forums, they would remove the driver's seat, turn it upside down and disconnect one of the 3 seat springs. I unhooked the one furthest spring, from the driver's door and my problem went away.
I only have 600 miles on my PP, so I haven't thought about an uncomfortable seat, yet.

Do you have this issue when you’ve driven or ridden in any other cars (not just your Honda’s)?

Perhaps you have more of an issue with your leg, hip, calve or something else and not so much your car seat?

I seldom drive anyone else's vehicles,,,And when I do its just a very short distance...Maybe I can get to ride in my vehicles in the passenger seat and see how that side works...
Just asking and looking for suggestions to see if anyone else experiences the same problem...I'm sure its just my old worn out body...
I had two knee replacements 15 years ago...When I get me knees checked every 3 years they also check my hips...Doctor said I won't live long enough to need hips...Not sure if that's good or bad news???
THANK YOU to everyone for their suggestions...larryd

Another option before you spend a bunch of money on different seat options for your Honda, just rent a cheap car for one day. You can get them as low as 19.99/day in some areas and just test out your leg pain. I hope your just not fitting the Honda seats for some reason and it’s not time for another surgery.

For me, I have not felt any pain driving my Passport - the seats are super comfortable, despite my back injuries and intermittent sciatica. Previously, I would have sciatica and back pain with other vehicles, desk chairs, airplane seats, etc. The simple fix for me is to use a gel mesh seat cushion. They cost $20 to $40 and are available online or most big box stores. This might be an easy and cheap fix you can try. I just finished over 3,000 mile trip this long weekend with no trouble or pain. Good Luck!

The only pain I experience when driving is from playing the stereo too loud....!

I had similar experience in '19 Passport - but went away with seat break-in. Had sore leg in older CRV in less than 30 minutes. Seat bottom too short. Have Odyssey with electric adjust seat - never had problem, even with 700 mile days. Got 19 Passport with manual adjust seat. Got sore leg if driving more than 30 minutes. But problem went away with 2 things. 1. I measured the good seat height in my Odyssey exactly - from floor to front edge. Then adjusted manual seat in Passport to exact same height. Reclined Passport seat a bit. 2. And then pressed lower back REALLY hard against Passport seat all the time to break seat in fast. Kept doing that for a month. Now Passport seat great even for long distance.

Did not take long for foam in 19 passport to break in.

Ahh, the good old days, when you could figure out and fix your car/truck on your own and without a Phd in Electronics...

Well I have had this problem of leg pain for a while in various cars. Went to a physical therapist and found ways to strength my core and back. The pain is mostly gone now but I bring this up as it might be the start of something else going on in your body. For me, it was an old weight lifting injury that resurfaced.

Suggestions you might try if appropriate.

1. if you like sitting higher up, don't, lower the seat down so your under knee area is slightly raised. Takes the pressure off.

2. does your seat have a lumbar support bag. If so fill it or deflate it slightly and see if that helps.

3. not to be rude to anyone, but don't ghetto drive. It's a drivers seat not a drivers recliner.

4. gel seat cushion for under your tushy. Memory foam is wonderful.

5. make the wife, girlfriend, boyfriend, mother, father or whom ever drive and just enjoy the ride.

Good luck.

Oh, I've faced similar problems. Ayurveda helped me in this, message with the addition of spices helps me to relax. Natural, harmless oils will restore health to bones, joints and muscles when massaged. Oil rubbing will warm up the body. Doctors advise to massage regularly in the morning, then take a shower. Sesame, almond, and jasmine oils help with bone aches. Constant physical exercises and moderate regular loads play a role in improving the health, cleansing the vessels of toxins and toxins, improving blood flow. Yoga is prescribed to eliminate pain in the knee or shoulder joints. Yoga asanas are selected taking into account the structure of the body and the diagnosis.
