Does Anyone Know What the Map Symbol Means?

Hey Everyone,

I had a symbol pop up on my navigation that I have not seen before. I don't have a picture of it, but it is in the upper-right hand corner of the map. It is a "map" (black and white in color) that has been unfolded (like a paper map would look) with a black arrow pointing up on it. I have no idea what it is. I have scoured the Honda Navigation Manual with no luck.

Thank you for any assistance!

Maybe it's loading a map?
I don't think so... it was there for a long time. Thank you for your response! :)
It will help if you can share a picture but have you tried tapping on the icon?

I know... I wish I would have taken a pic but didn't think about it at the time. It has since disappeared. I was going to tap it, but then I remembered on my small Garmin that there was an icon that popped up if it recognized a common route that I drive. I touched it on the small Garmin and it saved the route and then the stupid route popped up every time I drove that same route.. BUT, when that route popped up, I lost my "next street ahead" function because it acted like a "trip". I could never figure out how to delete it and it drove me crazy. Maybe this little icon I saw is wanting me to tap it to set up a common route? That is why I didn't tap it.... I'm "scared" Thank you for your reply!

Based on that I'd say the "folded map" image was a link to an update. to the map.

This image is slightly different to what the OP described, but considering this is a different vehicle, can you confirm that you are using the same Garmin map found in the Passport?

I have no idea if it is the same map, my guess is it is not. It is Garmin, but several years older is my belief. This is from a mid 2010s Chrysler min-van. I don't have navigation on my Passport Sport model to compare, I use my phone with Google or Apple maps.

Unfortunately that is not what I saw. I'm going to have to wait until it pops up again and actually get a picture this time! I thank you for trying to help me! :)

When there is a map update available there is a map icon that appears similar to what you describe. If you tap it, you get brought to the screen to start the update process.
