I would imagine since it is causing air flow changes, there will still be a certain amount of wind noise, no matter how streamlined the visor is.
I installed the Honda OEM moonroof deflector and had the same experience. It did reduce the wind noise when the moonroof was open but when closed, the wind noise was greater. Since my moonroof is closed 99% of the time, I removed it. It is now in the garage rafters. Anyone in San Diego area can have it for $50. $165 retail...$120 at College Hills before $30 shipping.FYI it was installed incorrectly so once installed right it did cut down on the wind noise. But as mentioned it does still create additional wind noise that isn't there without the visor installed. I cut my losses and had it removed. I don't like additional road noise.

Not very hard at all to remove. Sort of a pain to reach the screws but, even with that, it only takes about 10-15 min. If I recall, I think it takes a stubby #2 Phillips screwdriver and a small, (6mm?), wrench. Was it hard to remove? I regret having it put on
