Just got my PP back from the dealer with suggested service listing attached to the invoice for my service. Does anyone know what the heck "Fuel and air induction service" is? It's a new one to me. The owner's manual doesn't list anything like that under the maintenance requirements for the PP. Sounds like a new way to fleece the unsuspecting owner who doesn't read the manual.

Sounds like they pour some $20 Seafoam in the tank and call it value add of $80. :) j/k

I've never heard of it specifically nor done it. You could ask the dealership what that actually means. If it still doesn't make sense...tell them no thanks!

All. ready did tell them no thanks. Thinking I might go talk to the service manager and have him explain it to meo_O. Dealership is only about 3 miles from my home so not a big trip.

I changed the thread title to better reflect the reality of what's actually in question. Many dealerships add on services that they personally recommend but are not necessary per the manufacturer and/or warranty providers.

No, usually what they do is they feed the cleaning liquid though the intake while engine running to clean the valves but usually that is not needed on port injection engines and not effective on direct injection engines like on the Passport.
So to OP, yes it's a waste of money.
