I have been slowly testing the capability of this rig stock with skid plates. So far I am pretty darn impressed. The suspension options are really lacking in what I consider getting this vehicle capable. It's the miles of washboard that will kill the stock struts. If you are to head out to something like the Racetrack in Death Valley you are going to be replacing the stock struts when you get back. They will be blown and leaking.
King suspension is another option and local to me here. But they are very expensive and need the vehicle to get the spring rates and valving just right.
I'm hoping a company will come out with affordable adjustable suspension lifts like Flatout Suspension. I don't see why you would not go with this option as it is not much more in added cost over a spacer lift. And you can get the perfect spring rate for your type of driving and comfort you are looking for. The only thing I'm not a fan of is lack of remote reservoir and damper adjustments. Again, those darn miles of washboard roads........
