Cup Holder Inserts

Did some reading and this seems to be a somewhat common question for some other Honda vehicles.

Are there any good fitting cup holder inserts?

Since the cupholder on the Passport is big, pretty much everything moves around in it. I’ve seen other vehicles that have something spring loaded to adjust, but no luck on the Honda.

Ideally, I’d like something that fits the whole length of the cup holder to protect the space from scratching and that tightens the fit slightly.

Any suggestions?

Buy these in Grey:

I just wish the car had more cup holders. Its a weird request to make in 2019 but I feel like the center console should have 2 holders towards the back, like in the Odyssey.

Did you or anybody else ever find something to insert that keeps cups from sliding around laterally in the front center cup holders? It sounds like you and I share the same frustration, but nobody answered your question.

I already have the “CupHolderHero” inserts from Amazon. They do help keep some things from rattling around (like keys) and they keep the cupholders clean by having an easy-to-wash, but they don’t keep small-diameter drink vessels in these larger cup holders from tipping and sliding as you go around corners and over bumps.

I am hoping that someone has already found an aftermarket insert that just happens to work in the PP, as it seems the market just doesn’t make anything specifically for it, yet.

Ideally, a product that inserts to retrofit Honda’s dumb design - something that either has flexible rubber “wings” or self-adjusting spring-loaded bits like other car manufacturers do, so standard 12 oz soda cans (and smaller cans like 8.45 oz Perrier cans) don’t slide around/tip.

I have searched the forum and Amazon and Google endlessly and don’t see anything purpose built for the Passport/Pilot.

Bringing this discussion back, Anyone find a cup holder insert that keeps the cup or bottle from rattling. Not sure why honda thinks everyone drinks out of thermos
Did you test drive the Passport? If this is your biggest gripe I'm sure you will figure it out.

I'm 100% OCD and went through the same search 2 years ago when I bought my 2019 elite. I have the cupholder hero inserts. They're just....Ok. They don't really help large or tall mugs from rattling around in the cupholder. Note: my previous 3 SUVs were 4Runners which had a fairly large cupholder with a rubberized plastic insert that was perfect.

I ended up buying a 16oz Hydroflask coffee mug. The nice thing about the hydroflask (and other brands, I'm sure) is that you can buy a little silicone sleeve that fits over the base and keeps the mug quiet. Not ideal, but it works. If you have a brand name bottle of mug, you might want to check amazon. You can buy those little silicone sleeves in a bunch of shapes and sizes.

I'm a big fan of WeatherTech products and they have cup coasters. I'm going to order the cargo mat and was looking at these to add on to the order. Shipping may be the same prices as the coasters though, if you aren't adding on to mats or whatever.

I've learned to deal with it. It isn't bad once you get used to it.

I bought some cheap $5 insulated cup holders at Walmart that fit great, they even keep your drink hot/cold.

Great idea. I am not sure Honda was thinking with that design, everything just sloshes around.

Does the bottom or sides rattle at all while driving? I am looking to a solution that covers the bottom and sides but also protects and keeps items from rattling resulting in noise when driving
