Hi ....... New member here. 5 days ago I purchased a 2021 Honda Passport EX-L Deep Scarlett Pearl color. After the purchase I realized the car did NOT include the Rear Parking Assist feature and now I would like to check out having it installed by a Honda dealer. Has anyone else had this done to their Passports and if so what costs are involved and how long did it take. Any other info you might have would also be appreciated. Thanks

Looks like the parts would cost ~$500+ and 2-3 hrs labor.

How to install: https://www.collegehillshonda.com/instructions/passport/2021/backupsensors.pdf

You can also search youtube for aftermarket parking sensor. They seem to cost way less and I believe you could have a local stereo shop install it for you.

Honda service centers have a very high "shop rate". $180/hr.
I though that rear traffic monitoring was part of Honda Sensing.
I have a Touring and my back up sensors turn off & my rear cross traffic monitoring system also turns off, if my green led is not on on the "P" button next to the driver's left knee.
I used to have the "P" dark, so I wouldn't hear the beeps, as I parked in my 4 car garage (PRODGIRL), but I found out my rear cross traffic system was also disabled and couldn't be enabled via any display settings, unless the "P" was green.

I have the same PP. I also naively thought Honda sensing came with front and rear parking sensors (my 2019 bmw did, so I assumed a 2021 model that costs $40k would). I know, no need to tell me I should have done my homework. However, I probably would not have opted for a touring since that was around $2500 more. The one feature I really miss is auto brake hold but I don’t think that is available on any passport trim level. Incidentally, I have about 4K miles now and I am very happy with my purchase

If you are a Costco member you can go to their auto buying web site and look for parts and accessories. You will get a list of which Honda dealers near you, (they all do not participate), that give a 15% discount on parts and accessories. Adds up on major purchases!
