Please tell me there is a hack (like Carly) so that I don't have to turn off the Idle Stop feature every single time I start the car?

And the engineers who developed the Collision Mitigation Braking System should be fired! The damn thing is so intrusive that it's more likely to cause an accident. Again it would be nice if it would remember my personal key setting so that I don't have to deactivate it every time.

There's a lot to like about the Gen3 Passport, but these 2 features are making me regret my purchase.

Personally, I don't really mind Idle Stop, but there's a thread here and an override device available here.

CMBS, on the other hand, sucks. I really wish we could get Honda to update the system, but unless something horrible and frequent happens, I don't see them changing a thing. I'm reminded of Fight Club; "A new car built by my company leaves somewhere traveling at 60 mph. The rear differential locks up. The car crashes and burns with everyone trapped inside. Now, should we initiate a recall? Take the number of vehicles in the field, A, multiply by the probable rate of failure, B, multiply by the average out-of-court settlement, C. A times B times C equals X. If X is less than the cost of a recall, we don't do one."

Thanks Hubb. We shouldn't have to pay $100 for the IdleStopper, but at least it's an option.

Has anyone tried to start a formal effort to make Honda aware about how many people dislike the CMBS? Kinda like how people complained about not having a physical volume volume button on previous years.

CMBS - emphasis on the last two letters. Two lane roads trigger CMBS randomly. Just got back from such a drive. In the 5 or so miles, on a straight road, it must have went off in error 3-4 times. My previous Honda (2016 CRV) had CMBS which went off in error maybe 3 times in the 4 +years I owned the vehicle. FWIW, just over 2k miles on the Passport (Touring, 2021). Very poor implementation. As is more a danger than safety feature.

I turned off everything I can as soon as I start the vehicle! Amber lights everywhere on my dash. :D

From Honda: If turned off, "CMBS will remain off during the period in which the car is running. However, when you shut off your Honda and restart it, CMBS will default back to the ON position. This is to ensure the safety of you and those around you! That will happen every time you shut down the car."

My 2021 does not restart. I have to turn it back on if I want it to work. The only thing that restarts on my 2021 is the idle stop. I’m not guessing here, this is a fact. If mine’s not working correctly I’ll just leave it that way.

My idle stop never works, not complaining but makes we wonder if something is wrong. I don't drive the PP much maybe it's the battery. At first, I thought it was the winter weather but today it was in the 60's and I turned the climate controlls off and still no idle stop.

14v6 = For the idle/stop to work, certain parameters have to be met first. Perhaps your car isn't meeting them all. I hit the disable button every time I start mine. YRMV.
