When I originally bought my 20 Passport, I owned a galaxy s9+ phone. I plugged it into the USB charger under the dashboard (in order to use Android Auto) and was getting fast charging to work. Now I replaced my phone with the new S21 and still the same plug and cable. The difference now is that it will slow (cable charge) and I believe that's why I see the "red box" around the phone charging symbol on the screen. Anyone else noticed this?

I will try it. More curious on why not "fast charging" anymore
I don‘t know why it was working before, but I think I know why it’s not working now. Your two USB ports, the one under the dash and the one in the center console don’t put out the same voltage. I believe the one in the console is for charging a phone. I’m pretty sure it’s in the owners manual. I’d check, but my new Passport is in the dealers right now and I don’t have access to it.
the weird thing its nat now NONE of the USB chargers are fast charging (not the middle console, not the under dash, nor the 2 in the rear of the middle console)
Just worried the red box around the charge box may indicate some problem. It would make sense
I can't test with my old phone because I sent it back. The new s21 charges FAST CHARGING when using the same cable but plugging it into the wall charger.
Also now the Android Auto is acting spotty
SOLUTION: I went to Android Auto and put to "forget" code the current phone / car connection and re-added the passport back to Android Auto and now it's working fine. No more "REDBOX"around the battery symbol, and the charging speed is a lot faster!
