Center divider cushion for the dog

I sometimes like giving my 55 lb shep-corgi freedom to move from front to back when I'm traveling long distances (yea, I know, safety and all that - I get it), but I didn't want her to scratch, slip on or crush the center divider sliding cover. So, I took an old (very green) garden knee pad, cut it to size and sanded bevels into the front in back. You can see I mis-measured the cut-out for the lever, but it stays put really well. LMK if you'd like measurements and I'll post them up.

Good idea. Cute dog.
We have agreed to limit our dogs travels to the rear of the car only. That's with the back seats folded down. I'm sure eventually the dog will train us, and at that time I'll copy your idea.

Thanks

I put a fleece blanket over a piece of my Passport trailer hitch box to keep her from getting up front. It works 99% of the time.
