Cargo hatch hold down

8253 Views 10 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  P0nzy
Had to haul some 8ft lumber today, which is too long for our passports. Small boards you can obviously just run through between the seats and close the hatch with ease. Bigger boards you’ll have to leave the hatch open, but you can hold it down with bungee cords. Just remove the small panel on the hatch door panel and you can hook to the aluminum door.

Thanks for posting this. Someone asked about the same thing in another thread and I went and looked and was like, where the hell do you hook something.

And yes, the back is HUGE. one of the top reasons I chose it over the Grand Cherokee. Much better than having a truck!

Lets not get carried away. Before I use my PP I'll use my truck; and if it can't handle it then I'll use my 7x17 foot utility trailer; its rated for 7500 pounds.
I can only afford one vehicle at the moment and the PP can not only haul stuff but is also roomy enough to sleep in on trips to the mountains and such. It handled 800lbs of pavers from Lowe’s like a champ! Champ!
