Interesting thought. I think any potential impact on heating/cooling would be from a reduction in cargo area volume due to items stored back there. If its just the cargo cover with no cargo, which still allows air flow and doesn't seal off the area, I don't think there would be much of an impact. The reason I would think that at Heating /Air condition would work better is that with the cargo cover closed that the passenger cabin area would reduced, hence easier to be cooled or heated. Everything under the cover wouldn’t be cooled or heated.
Hmm. This is what I have for my 2009 CR-VAdmittedly I'm disappointment with the gap between the rear seats and the cover. Just received mine today. Wanted to let everyone know this.
Even the Pilot cargo cover has the gap fillers ... wt*?Admittedly I'm disappointment with the gap between the rear seats and the cover. Just received mine today. Wanted to let everyone know this.
I guess you could say its two sections, the largest part covers the bulk of the cargo area, then there is the short part towards the rear that covers the gap between the rear attachment point and the tailgate.I was going to order it today and the picture In the “instillation instructions” shows a 3 section cover, 2 hinges.
