I am very frustrated and not sure what to do next. I’ve had to have my 2019 PP jumpstarted seven times in the last three months.

It has been to the dealership on three different occasions since then and they cannot find anything wrong.
First time they said they checked the battery charge and it was fine. They asked me if I wanted to pay $160 to have it have a diagnostic test done. During that time, that battery died so they put in a brand-new one and did not charge me for the diagnostic test but apologized. I assumed my problems were over.

A week later the car dies again. I take it to the dealership and they tell me perhaps my faub is stored too close to the car. They then hook it up to see if the battery is being drained by some other feature and find that it is not.

I told them I do not want the car back until they figure out what’s happening. They kept it for four days and luckily gave me a loaner however then called to tell me they can’t figure out what the problem is and to take it home.

Fast forward two weeks, which was yesterday, and my car is dead again for the seventh time.

What do I do now?
Do I go to another dealership to start all over again?
Do I call Honda corporate?
Is anybody else experiencing something like this?
My car is only two years old and has 35,000 miles on it.

I did not have any issues with my car prior to this past October

Any suggestions??

Hmmmm...
I feel your pain. We too have had to jump ours.
Took it in after I charged it. They said, it's charged, it's fine. Battery is good.

Weeks later we drove ours from Colorado to Southern Utah. 5 hours straight.
2 days later, battery died, jumped it again.
Charged the battery.
Took it in to different dealer. Battery tested good.
Talked them into new battery.
Seems a little better, but not much. I put the car on a charger 2 or 3 times a month.

I should let them have it for a few days but I'm scared to leave it with them.

Definitely parasitic draws. Personally, I wish these things had half of the electronics in them.
Good luck.

I had the same problem. The cause was a bad battery. It took two jump starts and two trips to the dealer before it was confirmed and a new battery was installed under warranty.

Get a digital multimeter and start looking yourself. All modern vehicles have a parasitic battery draw. Look on YouTube or search how to find battery draw. Start pulling fuses until issue is resolved. Then tell dealer what you found and have them fix. Should be able to find. If you don't feel comfortable doing this, find an independent garage. We have a fantastic garage here in town where we live, have never been given back a vehicle with "we couldn't find" or "we fixed it" then an issue returning.

Plenty of battery issue threads in here. Here is one:

On the 2007 - 2013 Acura MDX which is largely a twin of the Honda Pilot of the same generation, owners with the battery drain issue were removing the Bluetooth/Handsfree module to fix it, the module becomes faulty and it constantly beams out searches for something to pair with even when the vehicle is off, that apparently was draining the battery. Other owner also posted information about their radio making noises even when the car is off, they pulled the radio fuse, the noise and the parasitic draw stops.

Since vehicle manufacturers reuse components and suppliers, the same or a similar electrical flaws may be responsible for the battery drain issue in the 2019 - 2021 (2022?) Honda Passport.

I'm sure a lot of these post will continue to grow considering; age of battery, cold weather....and the all and great idle stop/start.
I wonder how many cranks we can get out of a starter? With the idle stop/start i bet it factors up at least by 5.

Unfortunately I am not comfortable doing this. Furthermore is it my responsibility to do this at my cost when car is under warranty? I realize that yes, I am trying to find the answers and get it fixed but at what point should the dealership give up?

So does this mean I should unplug it and drive around without a radio and that solves the problem? Again, why doesn’t the dealership know this and come up with a recall/solution. Clearly by the several posts on this forums this is nothing new.

People on forums speculate on what could be wrong when issues like yours are posted so I was speculating not asking you to disconnect anything. Keep talking with your dealer or try another one, that is where the solution to your issue is.

UPDATE:: I went to my car to find insurance card to call for roadside assistance. I recall that was was able to start car one other time with my remote starter, so I tried this and it worked.
although I am happy to have a running car “today”, I’m wonderinghow the 2 are connected.
