I'm presently driving a Toyota Avalon and I can (completely turn off the light on the Stereo/Radio screen at night) due to light interference when driving - the system continues to operate normally - but the screen is dark.

Question: Can we do this with the 2019 PASSPORT?

Thanks.

I know I can in my 2017 CR-V and the Pilot/Passport look to have the same screen brightness control next to the display. You touch the brightness button and it toggles from Day mode to Night mode to Off.

I'm not sure about the old style radio in the Sport model but that should apply to the touchscreen in EX-L and up.
Thanks for the comment. My wife drives an '18 Honda FIT and the best I can do with that screen is change it to night mode......which (at night) still is distracting. I do hope you are right. I'll plan to drive a Passport in the near future and that will be the first thing I check.......although many of the sales staff probably have no clue?

This is a screen shot from page 278 of the manual. There is a night mode and separate brightness control.

If the (NIGHT MODE is completely OFF) - not just dimmed........great news for me! As I've gotten older bright lights at night are most distracting........both from outside the vehicle BUT inside as well. Thanks!
